YOUR TWIN DIES. It’s like all the planets in the solar system slowed down and stopped. Everything is different now. What do I do? How do I exist? The counselors and psychologists don’t understand. There are no experts. You are left with “Twin” thoughts roaming in your head. The thoughts don’t stop, ever.
When you tell someone about the pain of losing your twin, and you don't know what it's like NOT being a twin, they minimize it. After all, they say, you’re no longer a twin.
Some people say, get on with your life. Other people avoid you.
Most never bring up your twin again. Professionals counsel you that parents who lost a child have coped, and someone who loses a spouse copes, so why can’t you cope? They don’t get it.
You ask yourself, what’s the first year like without my twin by my side? The book, Who Moved The Sun? is about that first year without your twin.
